About the Role
We have an exciting Manager opportunity to join our Brisbane Audit team BDO’s Audit practice is a major player within the local marketplace, auditing many of Australia’s leading public and private sector organisations across a diverse industry base.
Our thriving audit practice works with and provides services to some of the most exciting, established and emerging companies. You will have the opportunity to work in a high performing team on a diverse client base with exposure to challenging work in a cross section of industries.
Key responsibilities include:
Manage, lead, and develop the Audit team to ensure successful completion and execution of assigned engagements across a range of complexity and scale
Service line management, including contribution to overall service line strategy and providing feedback and development to junior members of the team
Identify audit and engagement risks and contribute to the design of an appropriate audit approach for each assignment
Review working papers, audit queries, correspondence and reports prepared by the team to ensure compliance with audit plan, procedures, and appropriate quality of work
Lead and participate in technical audit and accounting matters
Liaise with clients and identify future opportunities
About You
Demonstrated external audit experience in a professional services firm
Experience and passion in leading and developing teams
CA/CPA qualification
Thorough understanding of all financial statement areas
Ability to identify potential risks of material misstatement and design audit tests to mitigate those risks
Experience in reviewing General Purpose accounts, included listed entities
Ability to identify scope and solve problems
Exceptional attention to detail
