In this role, you'll:


be working as part of a team delivering high‑quality financial reporting and fixed‑asset accounting for Sydney Metro, this role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and reliability of our financial information.

This role will see you responsible for end-to-end financial management of fixed asset and property accounting processes ensuring strong governance, compliance, and high-quality financial reporting.

Reporting to Senior Manager Asset Accounting, you will ensure accurate asset recording, valuation, capitalisation and reporting in line with Accounting Standards and NSW Treasury policy.

Additionally, you will act as the key finance contact point for all asset accounting matters including extensive liaison with internal Project and Property teams in connection with the project programs.

You will work across internal business groups, project teams and external stakeholders to provide expert financial advice and enable accurate, compliant and timely reporting.

You will lead improvements in asset accounting processes, identify and deliver efficiencies, and enhance the quality of data and analysis in a fast‑paced, high‑volume, highly complex environment. Although this position has no direct reports, it requires strong influencing and negotiating skills to guide stakeholders, uplift capability, and drive the adoption of best‑practice financial management across the organisation.

About you


Your strong technical foundations in financial accounting, fixed‑asset management, statutory reporting and analysis—built in complex environments such as government, infrastructure or large corporate settings—equip you to deliver high‑quality insights and ensure Sydney Metro’s asset portfolio is accurately represented.


You’re a resilient, detail‑driven finance professional who is comfortable working with large data volumes, managing ambiguity and meeting tight deadlines. With strong influencing and negotiation skills, you build effective relationships across diverse teams to improve processes and strengthen financial governance.


With a continuous improvement mindset, you challenge the status quo, identify opportunities for uplift and use technology and data to drive better outcomes.
