SALARY: $82,400 - $97,850, bonus eligible

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is accountable for serving as the primary liaison for all wholesaler partners. This position plays a vital role in providing wholesalers with a clear knowledge of all products and programs to ensure that sales strategies are executed on the brewery’s behalf. The ASM may be responsible for managing a team of Brand Development Representatives (BDRs) that cover a portion of the territory. The Area Sales Manager monitors inventory and assists the wholesaler in product ordering. In addition, the ASM is accountable for maintaining sound and accurate internal communication of company strategy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for managing and coaching a team of BDRs to execute priorities, programs and market activations (Home Markets).

  • Manages forecast bias and accuracy and ensure LOW orders are met in a timely fashion via OnePortal .

  • Ensures limited/specialty/seasonal product is moving in a timely fashion to ensure inventory doesn’t run long.

  • Meets regularly with wholesalers to maintain sound consistent communication.

  • Maintains knowledge of pricing structures and strategies and assures wholesaler pricing alignment and provides feedback on market pricing to strategy team.

  • Engages and influences wholesaler partners to leverage programs and incentives.

  • Communicates chain commitments, SKU requirements, and STR dates to ensure smooth product launches.

  • Calls on on-premise and off-premise high-value accounts, as well as key account retailers

  • Complete understanding of sales metrics and has ability to utilize data to drive strategy.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • 2+ years of industry experience, preferably in sales or related discipline.

  • Thorough knowledge of company products and industry best practices (beer and merchandise).

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in office-related software.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and third-party partners.

  • Significant travel and driving expected.
