Job Description

The Manager Applications and Business Systems helps lead all aspects of ERP and business applications maintenance, support, and implementation as well as application software upgrades. The successful candidate ensures that support is provided to the end-users, and that all work is aligned to SOX compliancy and standard ITIL or Project Management principles. Coordinating all ERP and software application implementation includes developing implementation and upgrade schedules, prioritizing resource allocation, and ensuring work does not inconvenience day-to-day business activities of our sites.

Alamos Gold uses SAP S4 Hana running on a RISE environment. The key aspects of this role would include the management and support of the environment as follows.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Issue Resolution: Work with our end-users across our mines to diagnose and fix problems in SAP S4 PM (Plant Maintenance). Provide day-today support and administration of an SAP S4 Hana environment. This will be in conjunction with a small internal team and external system integrators to assist.

  • Business Analysis: Translate user requirements into functional specifications for SAP PM and deliver solutions accordingly.

  • Process Design: Configure and optimize maintenance processes (notifications, orders, task lists) in S/4HANA.

  • Support & Training: Provide high-level software solution technical and functional leadership (Basis basic knowledge and PM on expert knowledge). Provide ongoing support, create training materials, and train end-users.

  • Project Support: Assist with SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, and integration with other modules (e.g., MM, PS, FICO).

  • Documentation: Create technical design documents and process guides.
