- As a member of the Operations Planning and Performance (OP&P) organization, the Manager of Airport Operations Performance Analytics is responsible for developing analytics solutions to support the airports to improve their operational performance.
What you'll do
- Lead and develop a team of analysts responsible for data, reporting, and analytics over a range of subject areas related to airport operations – Flight Information (FLIFO), Customer Reliability, Baggage Mishandling, Airport Turn Performance, etc.
- Develop the strategic vision for the Airport Operations Analytics team, ensuring that the appropriate data-driven analytical tools and solutions are developed, delivered, and implemented to improve airport operations performance
- Build relationships with business leaders at all levels within the Airport and OP&P organizations to understand the analytics needs necessary to manage their business most effectively.
- Identify areas where advanced analytics can be utilized to improve existing processes, policies, or procedures.
- Proactively identify and implement new sources of data to build new reports and improve existing ones.
- Ensure that new systems and tools are designed with analytics and reporting capabilities and improve analytics capabilities from existing systems.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related areas
- 3 years of report generation using Tableau and/or MS Power BI
- 3 years of programming experience with Python or R
- 3 years of experience in supporting senior leadership positions
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, or related areas
- Experience in selecting, developing, and motivating individuals who can work as a team to meet deliverables and quickly overcome obstacles
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
- Tableau Desktop Certified Professional
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
- Demonstrated experience with SQL, databases, and data visualization
- Experience with Azure and Databricks
- Ability to prioritize large list of projects with very limited resources
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach in high stress situations
- Must be able to work with deadlines, multiple projects, travel as needed, attend and conduct meetings/presentations, and work hours outside of the normal business day, weekends, and holidays
- Proven analytical skills with sound-judgement and decision making with a clear and persistent attention to detail
- Collaboration and negotiation skills in a large multi-departmental team environment
- Leadership experience
- Experience working with internal Enterprise Data Platforms
