Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships within WCA and other global freight forwarder networks.
  • Represent the company at international agent conferences and networking events.
  • Promote the company as a preferred destination / origin agent for inbound, outbound, and cross-trade business.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new strategic overseas agents aligned with trade lane strategy.
  • Generate and develop agency-driven sales opportunities and follow up on RFQs and enquiries.
  • Drive balanced, two-way cargo flows and manage trade lane performance.
  • Work with pricing and operations teams to ensure competitive yet sustainable rate structures.
  • Ensure compliance with global agent network rules, payment protection policies, and dispute protocols.
  • Act as key escalation point for agent service, commercial, and dispute-related issues.

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to internal teams on handling agency and network-driven business.
  • Set clear expectations with agents on service levels, responsiveness, and commercial discipline.
  • Contribute to management discussions on global network and alliance strategy.

Job Requirements

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in freight forwarding with direct exposure to agency or network sales.
  • Hands-on experience working with WCA or similar global forwarder alliances preferred.
  • Strong understanding of trade lane development and agent-driven cargo models.
  • Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline preferred.
  • Strong relationship-builder with cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Commercially disciplined and results-oriented.
  • Proactive, structured, and self-driven.
  • Comfortable working across time zones.
  • Strong commercial awareness in freight forwarding pricing and yield management.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
  • Strong coordination skills across sales, operations, and finance.
