We’re looking for an Advanced Analytics Manager to help shape how RBS Remediation uses advanced analytics and AI to solve complex customer and operational problems from document intelligence and complaint analytics through to early remediation sizing and automating repeatable analytical assets.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of data-driven remediation outcomes while identifying opportunities to uplift how the team works. You will design, build and drive the implementation of advanced analytical solutions that improve customer impact assessments, accelerate remediation delivery, and reduce manual effort across repeated remediation activities.

This role will suit someone who is self-motivated, comfortable working through ambiguity, and able to proactively spot opportunities where advanced analytics can improve remediation sizing, document understanding, complaint analysis and operational efficiency. You will also provide technical support and guidance to existing team members as they tackle Advanced Analytics use cases, while helping shape the team’s analytical capability, delivery standards and strategic roadmap.
Your responsibilities:
- Owning and leading end-to-end advanced analytics use cases supporting remediation, from problem framing and data investigation through to solution design, build, testing, deployment and implementation.
- Designing, developing and overseeing productionised solutions, PoCs, accelerators and analytical assets to support remediation delivery.
- Applying LLMs, NLP, OCR/document AI and ML techniques to extract structured data, analyse unstructured content and generate actionable remediation insights.
- Building solutions to retrieve, reconcile and validate data from complex documents, including implementing controls and QA checks to improve reliability and repeatability of outputs.
- Using text analytics across customer complaints, application comments and other unstructured sources to identify impacted customers, accounts or applications.
- Developing early remediation sizing / impact estimation models leveraging prior patterns and new incident statements to inform potential customer, account and financial impacts.
- Investigating customer anomalies, data quality issues and platform queries to support timely and accurate remediation outcomes.
- Applying end-to-end model lifecycle practices to ensure robust, sustainable and well-governed analytical solutions.
- Translating ambiguous business problems into practical analytical approaches and clearly communicating methodology, assumptions, limitations and findings to stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships across remediation, product, operations, risk and technology.
- Leading capability uplift through technical guidance, coaching and hands-on support for advanced analytics use cases.
Your Impact:
- Identifying opportunities across the RBS Remediation Crew to improve manual and repeated tasks through automation, reusable Advanced Analytics solutions and process uplift
- Driving uplift in controls, repeatability and governance across advanced analytics solutions, including model validation, reconciliation, documentation and appropriate risk controls
- Applying practical knowledge of the model lifecycle, including problem definition, data sourcing, model development/training, testing, validation, deployment, monitoring, recalibration, change management and retirement, to ensure robust and sustainable analytical solutions.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders across remediation, product, operations, risk and technology teams.
- Influencing delivery priorities and helping shape the broader Advanced Analytics approach within RBS Remediation through proactive opportunity identification and thought leadership.
- Contributing to a strong risk mindset by proactively identifying, understanding and acting on current and future risks in line with CommBank expectations.
We’re interested to hear from people who have
- Demonstrated experience in advanced analytics, data analytics and reporting/operational analytics across varied business contexts, ideally with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in Python and SQL, including advanced SQL on Teradata.
- Experience building solutions using OpenAI APIs, prompt engineering techniques and modern AI-assisted workflows.
- Practical experience in following areas: NLP, LLMs, OCR/document AI, text mining, machine learning, model evaluation, feature engineering, classification and information extraction.
- Experience building and leading the delivery of both production-ready analytical solutions and proofs of concept / accelerators that can be adopted by delivery teams.
- Demonstrated experience in explainability, model governance and control frameworks for analytics and AI solutions.
- Practical knowledge of model lifecycle management, including development/training, validation, deployment, monitoring, performance review and ongoing model governance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous problem statements and develop structured, practical solutions.
- Experience validating, reconciling and quality assuring analytical or model outputs, with an appreciation for controls, repeatability and governance.
- Familiarity with modern engineering and data workflows, including Git, AWS and S3.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to proactively identify opportunities where Advanced Analytics can improve decision making, efficiency, customer outcomes and risk management.
We are also interested in people with:
- Experience in remediation, customer complaints, banking products, customer operations, risk and controls, or regulatory response environments.
- Experience identifying opportunities to reduce turnaround time and operational risk through automation and process improvement.
- Presenting key findings and insights to business stakeholders using data visualisation and storytelling tools such as Power BI.
