Job Description

Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager A/R & Credit, the Manager A/R, Credit & Reporting is responsible for the A/R analysis and reporting of key A/R metrics. In addition, this role will back up the credit function and perform daily administration of cash receipts, debit notes and reconciling customer accounts. This role will analyze customer A/R data, prepare management reports and support the organization in resolving outstanding deductions. This role will require interacting closely with sales and supply chain to resolve issues pertaining to outstanding accounts.

Key Accountabilities:
• Prepare A/R management reports supported with analysis of key accounts & trends;
• Manage Edmonton A/R team (Partially for now, and moving to full team in future);
• Pro-actively contact customers to manage and improve cashflow;
• Monitor for credit risk and provide vacation coverage for the credit department;
• Identify causes for nonpayment and initiate corrective action to be taken;
• Continuously work to improve A/R processes through technology or quality improvements;
• Manages the collection activities by collaborating with various team members such as Sales & Customer Service;
• Daily cash application, obtaining copies of debit notes and supporting back up. (Required for the purpose of allocation verification, investigating, processing and approvals);
• Responsible for balancing the AR to the GL on a weekly basis and clearing the journals in the accounting system (AS400 & Sage).

Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Business or a related field;
• 5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable;
• Advanced computer proficiency in MS excel with power BI experience;
• Experience in Credit reviews;
• Fluent in French an asset.

Hiring Range: CAD $64,393 - $92,082

Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus up to 8% of base salary subject to the plan terms and conditions.

Please note that the expected hiring range provided is derived from a group of like roles within Sofina. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, skillset of the candidate and internal equity.
