Job Description

Ready to Help Shape the Future of Legal Tech?!

At Litera, we don't just build software, we transform how the world's top law firms operate. Every day, we Raise The Bar™ for what's possible through AI, innovation, and solutions that power millions of legal professionals worldwide. If you're energized by scale, real impact, and meaningful challenges, you'll feel right at home here.

Where You'll Work

Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC with the expectation to be in office at least 3 days a week for collaboration and connection.

Why this Role Matters

As Manager of Accounts Payable, you'll own the function that keeps Litera's vendor relationships running smoothly and our financial operations on solid ground. You'll partner with Accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, support system implementations, and ensure accuracy across every payment cycle. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to build scalable AP operations and directly influence how Litera manages its financial infrastructure as the company grows.

What You'll Deliver

  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, ensuring vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
  • Drive AP process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable, automated solutions across ERP and AP tools.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and integrations that strengthen Litera's financial technology stack.
  • Own account reconciliations and month-end close activities, delivering clean and timely results to the Accounting team.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and internal controls that bring consistency and accountability to AP operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor communications—managing payment status, resolving disputes, and enforcing policy.

Litera is committed to providing reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process. If you need an accommodation, please let us know and we'll work with you to meet your needs.

What You'll Bring

Must-Haves:

  • 3–5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience in a mid-to-large organization.
  • Strong understanding of AP best practices, including 3-way match, purchase orders, accruals, and payment processing.
  • Experience supporting system integrations, financial system implementations, or process automation projects.
  • Solid Excel skills and comfort working across financial systems and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and communication skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, or similar AP automation tools.
  • Background in building or refining SOPs and internal controls for AP functions.
  • Experience managing or mentoring AP team members.
  • Familiarity with multi-entity or international payment processing.

Great candidates don't check every box. If this role excites you but your experience doesn't perfectly match every qualification, we encourage you to apply. You may be just the right person for this or another role at Litera.

What You'll Experience

  • A team that shows up. Work alongside people who collaborate, support one another, and lead with integrity.
  • Global Reach. Partner with teams around the world to solve complex challenges that matter.
  • Real opportunity for growth. Expand your impact through meaningful stretch opportunities, visibility and career development.
  • AI-driven innovation. Work at the intersection of legal technology, customer outcomes, and cutting-edge AI.

Litera is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
