Job Description

Job Purpose

This role will provide Production Execution management for Manufacturing including mid-range to long term strategic business planning, annual budget planning and performance analysis, organizational development, policy and procedure development.

Key Accountabilities

Lead and direct manufacturing operations to achieve business objectives in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. Oversee production execution, manufacturing schedules, cost analysis, and operational performance while driving continuous improvement and implementing effective countermeasures to address business challenges.

Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic business plans, including three-year operational and financial roadmaps, performance targets, resource planning, budgets, policies, and key business initiatives. Assess market conditions, industry trends, and organizational needs to identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational excellence while negotiating business agreements and strategic partnerships.

Provide organizational leadership by evaluating workforce capabilities, organizational effectiveness, and business requirements to establish flexible structures that support changing markets, emerging technologies, and future growth. Lead change management initiatives, succession planning, talent development, and associate engagement efforts through effective coaching, mentoring, and leadership development.

Direct the development and management of annual operating and capital budgets, including financial forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting. Ensure sound financial stewardship by aligning resources and investments with strategic objectives while driving accountability, cost effectiveness, and sustainable business performance.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

High school diploma required; technical, manufacturing, or business-related education preferred.Minimum 10 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment, including at least 7 years in a leadership or management role.Proven experience developing mid- and long-range business plans, strategic initiatives, and annual operating and capital budgets.Extensive technical knowledge of production manufacturing, prototype development, machining operations, and product development processes.Strong understanding of prototype machining, castings, heat treatment processes, assembly, teardown, and close-tolerance machining operations (mills, lathes, and related equipment).Knowledge of development, testing, quality assurance, inspection, and measurement methodologies.Experience with inventory management and production control processes, including FIFO and LIFO inventory practices.Ability to develop, manage, and adjust production schedules to meet changing business demands and operational priorities.Demonstrated financial acumen with strong budget management, cost control, and results-oriented decision-making skills.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities.Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams.Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and work effectively with diverse personalities.Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business-related computer applications.Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.Motorsports industry experience preferred.

Decisions Expected

Develop and manage weekly, monthly, and annual operational plans, establishing priorities, procedures, and schedules to ensure business objectives and deadlines are achieved.
Lead resource planning and talent acquisition efforts, including workforce recommendations and staffing strategies to support current and future business needs.
Monitor departmental performance, analyze development and operational results, and provide management with data-driven reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Resolve technical, scheduling, and production challenges by implementing effective countermeasures, adjusting priorities as needed, and approving departmental expenditures to support business objectives.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands Requirements

  • Regularly bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces to inspect, diagnose, service, and repair vehicles, engines, equipment, and related components.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, including long distances at race tracks, pit lanes, and shop facilities, and sit for prolonged periods during meetings, travel, and administrative duties.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and move materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements while assembling, disassembling, inspecting, servicing, and maintaining race engines, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Work in environments involving exposure to moving mechanical parts, operating vehicles, electrical systems, elevated temperatures, chemicals, and other conditions requiring strict adherence to safety procedures.
