Manager - Retail Leasing
Responsible for driving retail leasing and business development within an assigned market by acquiring new clients, managing retailer relationships, identifying suitable retail spaces, and executing leasing transactions from enquiry through deal closure.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
● Identify and pursue new retailer and landlord opportunities.
● Conduct cold calls, networking, and client meetings.
● Convert leads into active leasing mandates.
● Build long-term relationships with retailers, developers, and investors.
Retail Leasing
● Understand retailer expansion requirements.
● Source suitable retail spaces across malls, high streets, and mixed-use developments.
● Organize property inspections and site tours.
● Match retailer requirements with available inventory.
Client Relationship Management
● Act as the primary point of contact for assigned retail accounts.
● Prepare lease comparison reports, market overviews, and presentations.
● Maintain regular engagement with existing clients to generate repeat business.
● Provide strategic advice on location selection and market trends.
Market Intelligence
● Track retail market activity.
● Maintain a database of available retail properties.
● Monitor rental trends, vacancy levels, and new developments.
● Analyse competitors and retailer expansion plans.
Transaction Management
● Coordinate negotiations between landlords and tenants.
● Support commercial discussions and lease documentation.
● Work closely with legal, finance, and internal brokerage teams until deal closure.
Reporting
● Maintain CRM and pipeline reports.
● Track revenue targets and leasing KPIs.
● Prepare periodic business development reports.
