About this opportunity:

Ericsson Multimedia Telephony Application Server (MTAS) & Ericsson Call Session Control Function (CSCF) are central components of the IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). MTAS is a carrier-class application server for voice and multimedia, providing cost-efficient services for next-generation mobile and fixed networks. CSCF plays the key function of managing all signaling from the end user to services and other networks.

Product Development Group MTAS & CSCF within PDU Communication Services, UDM and Exposure is the unit responsible for development and maintenance of these key IMS application products. PDG MTAS & CSCF is an exciting place to be, with international teams spread in different countries Kista-Sweden, Budapest-Hungary and Bangalore-India and suppliers in India and Vietnam; where we work closely with customer units as well as few key customers and where we are in a transformation to build cloud native portfolio of our IMS products.

PDG MTAS & CSCF is now looking for a Line Manager to join the organization in the Bangalore office.

What you will do:

  • Lead and run R&D operations for the PDG MTAS & CSCF team: own day-to-day management of a 15+person product development team and ensure smooth execution of product development activities within PDG.
  • You will collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline software delivery, improve system reliability, and automate deployment processes.
  • Ensure the planned progress of achieving balance score card and Unit key objectives
  • Translate Ericsson Strategies into Unit relevant targets and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Responsible for recruitment activities for the unit
  • Ensure efficient workload allocation in the team and secure effective processes are in place as well as the timely project work
  • Ensure the effective implementation of people management activities, such as salary review, Individual Performance Management (IPM), career development and competence development
  • Coordinate across PDG teams: collaborate with other PDG MTAS & CSCF teams and cross-functional partners to secure product development and lifecycle management of the products in the responsibility of the PDG.
  • Manage team-level financial responsibilities, including budgeting, cost follow-up, resource planning, and ensuring compliance with financial controls
  • Represent PDG leadership: participate as a member of the PDG Leadership team, contribute to strategy and cross-PDG initiatives, and act as an escalation point for product and technical issues.
  • Act as a role model for Ericsson’s ethics and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to the Code of Business Ethics and related policies in teams.
