Brief Job Description:

Responsible for end-to-end management of Fixed Assets and Project Accounting operations
Oversee capitalization, depreciation, asset transfers, retirements, and project cost tracking
Ensure accurate accounting and reporting of capital expenditures (CapEx) and project-related costs
Collaborate with engineering, project, and plant teams for asset creation, validation, and capitalization
Review and approve asset accounting entries, reconciliations, and project settlements
Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to team members
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities related to FA & project accounting
Prepare and review periodic client/stakeholder reports and conduct quality audits
Identify and address process gaps, drive improvements, and enhance internal controls
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS/GAAP, SOX)
Drive process standardization, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects
Monitor asset lifecycle controls and ensure adherence to capitalization policies
Manage stakeholder communication, escalations, and performance reviews
Track and report key process metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
Support audits (internal/external) and ensure proper documentation and audit readiness
Upskill team members on process updates, system enhancements, and best practices

Technical Skill Requirements:

8+ years of relevant experience in Fixed Asset / Project Accounting / GL
Experience managing asset accounting for large, complex organizations
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JDE
Strong knowledge of depreciation methods, asset capitalization, and project settlement processes
Proficiency in MS Excel and MIS/reporting tools
Experience working with SOX compliance and audit frameworks
Industry experience (manufacturing.) is an added advantage
Should have experience of managing a team
