The Restoration Manager is the operational backbone of our field operations. This role bridges the gap between the owner and the field crew — overseeing job execution, documentation, crew coordination, and customer communication from first contact through project close-out. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who is comfortable in the field, fluent in IICRC standards, and capable of producing documentation that holds up under insurance adjuster scrutiny.

Key Responsibilities

Field Operations

  • Manage active water, mold, and fire remediation jobs from mobilization through final walkthrough
  • Ensure all jobs are set up, documented, and executed in accordance with IICRC S500 and S520 standards
  • Oversee equipment placement, containment setup, negative air pressure verification, and drying validation
  • Conduct daily psychrometric readings and adjust drying strategy as conditions change
  • Supervise field technicians, subcontractors, and specialty trades on active job sites

Documentation & Estimating

  • Produce Xactimate estimates that are defensible, detailed, and line-item accurate
  • Maintain complete job files: moisture logs, photo documentation, drying logs, equipment logs, and certificates of completion
  • Prepare scopes of loss for water, mold, and fire claims, including mitigation, demo, and structural phases
  • Respond to adjuster requests for documentation supplements and line-item justifications

Customer & Adjuster Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the project lifecycle
  • Communicate job progress, next steps, and expectations clearly and professionally
  • Coordinate adjuster site visits and represent Restoration 1 in scope-of-loss discussions
  • Manage customer expectations around timelines, insurance processes, and out-of-pocket costs

Team & Business Operations

  • Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring field technicians
  • Ensure crews follow TDLR and OSHA safety standards, including proper PPE and containment protocols
  • Support the owner with job costing, subcontractor coordination, and collections follow-up
  • Flag job site issues, change orders, or scope discrepancies to ownership in real time

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in water mitigation, mold remediation, or fire restoration
  • Working knowledge of IICRC S500 (water), S520 (mold), and industry drying standards
  • Proficiency with Xactimate or demonstrated ability to produce insurance-grade estimates
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills — with both homeowners and adjusters
  • Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work on-call and respond to emergency calls as needed

Preferred

  • IICRC WRT (Water Restoration Technician) and/or AMRT (Applied Microbial Remediation Technician) certification
  • Experience working within a franchise restoration system (Restoration 1, ServPro, Paul Davis, etc.)
  • TDLR Mold Assessment or Mold Remediation license (or willingness to obtain)
  • Familiarity with moisture metering equipment, air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and drying chambers
  • Experience coordinating with TPAs (Third Party Administrators) or insurance carriers

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
