- Lead and manage the mechanical quality assurance and quality control activities for thermal power projects ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and protocols aligned with national and international standards such as ISO 9001, ASME, and relevant industry codes.
- Oversee mechanical inspection processes including raw material inspection, in-process quality checks, and final product validation to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to identify quality risks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to audit quality processes, conduct supplier assessments, and ensure the quality of procured mechanical equipment and materials.
- Utilize advanced quality tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques to analyze and resolve quality issues.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics and generate detailed reports for senior management review to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Facilitate quality training programs and workshops for site and project teams to enhance awareness and adherence to quality standards.
- Lead audits, inspections, and certification processes in coordination with external agencies and statutory bodies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean quality processes to improve efficiency, reduce defects, and optimize mechanical quality outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with Adani’s HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies while carrying out quality inspections and audits.
- Mentor and develop junior quality engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of quality consciousness and teamwork.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all mechanical quality-related queries and coordinate resolution of complex technical issues.
- Implement best practices in quality assurance that align with Adani’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and operational excellence.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from a recognized university.
10-18 years in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related roles within Thermal Power Projects or heavy engineering industries.
