Manager – Business Advisory & Tax

Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to make a meaningful impact in a close‑knit regional practice with national backing?

RSM Albury is looking for a Manager to join our growing team. This is an opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys building trusted client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and playing an active role in a connected regional business community.

In this role, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients across Albury–Wodonga and the surrounding regions, working with businesses that span agriculture, manufacturing, professional services, health, not‑for‑profit and privately owned enterprises. You’ll oversee client engagements, review financial and tax outcomes, and provide practical, value‑driven advice that supports long‑term success.

You’ll also be a key contributor to our collaborative office culture, helping manage workflows and supporting the development of our people in a hands‑on, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage team workflows to ensure high‑quality, timely client deliverables
• Review financial statements and work papers, ensuring compliance with accounting, tax and regulatory requirements
• Provide practical, commercially focused advice tailored to regional and cross‑border client needs
• Review income tax returns for individuals, companies, superannuation funds, partnerships and trusts
• Develop financial models to support investment, growth and succession planning decisions
• Identify risks and opportunities within clients’ industries and local market conditions
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering technical capability and confidence
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships within the Albury–Wodonga community
• Share knowledge and best practices to strengthen team capability
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of information within firm systems
• Contribute to your own professional development and the broader success of the office

You combine strong technical expertise with a practical, solutions‑focused mindset. You enjoy working closely with business owners, developing people, and contributing to a high‑performing regional practice backed by a national firm.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting
• CA qualification (or equivalent)
• 5–7 years’ experience in professional services, with prior experience managing or mentoring staff
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high‑quality advisory services and manage client relationships
