The Department of Parks and Recreation, is hiring a Management Analyst V at Kapolei Hale This position performs analyses of department operations to determine effectiveness of programs, and develops work standards to improve efficiency. Conducts studies, prepares reviews and administers employee and customer surveys to measure program effectiveness and prepares reports.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in political science, public or business administration, economics or a related field.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Three (3) years of progressively responsible management analysis experience, one of which shall have been representative of the next lower level.
The next lower level is the Management Analyst IV, which performs the full range of management analysis work including difficult and complex projects and studies. Such work involves conducting detailed studies and reviews of organizational structures, programs, processes, and operations; analyzing how departments and systems work; preparing reports on findings and providing clear conclusions and recommendations; developing, recommending, and implementing solutions and new methods, processes, and systems; etc.

NON-QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE
Most work experience in a supervisory or managerial position includes responsibility for management analysis work. However, if the primary responsibility of the position is not concerned with professional management analysis work, such experience is not considered qualifying.
Having the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as qualifying for the position. Your overall experience must have been of such scope, level and responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of the position.
