The Management Aide Program offers students and recent graduates hands-on local government experience and professional development through workshops, guided tours, one-on-one mentoring, networking luncheons, and a CliftonStrengths assessment.
The internship is a six-month assignment. Work schedules and hours vary by department based on operational needs. Upon successful completion, participants may have an opportunity to compete for an extended internship assignment, depending on City needs, available funding, and the applicable selection process.

The City’s Office of Emergency Services (OES) is seeking a motivated, service-oriented intern interested in emergency management, disaster preparedness, and community resilience. The Management Aide will gain hands-on experience supporting emergency planning, Emergency Operations Center (EOC) readiness, training and exercises, public preparedness outreach, research, and coordination with City departments and partner agencies.
The Management Aide will help maintain emergency plans and resources, prepare reports and educational materials, track improvement efforts, and support emergency operations as needed. This internship offers an opportunity to learn how local government prepares for, responds to, and recovers from emergencies and disasters.

The Management Aide Program is an entry-level position open to the following candidates:
Recent Graduates - Candidates must have graduated within one year of submitting their application.
Expected Graduation Date - Candidates who are expected to graduate with their bachelor's degree before the start of the internship must complete their degree requirements prior to the program’s start date. The Management Aide Internship is an entry-level position for recent graduates who have completed their bachelor's degree, and candidates must have officially graduated by October 2026 to be eligible for consideration.
