The Wellington Hospital, London
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday
Fixed Term Contract until September 2027

We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team based at The Wellington Hospital. The Wellington Hospital is one of the UK's leading private hospitals and plays a key role within HCA Healthcare UK's network of world-class healthcare facilities. Our Finance team provides accurate financial reporting, business partnering and operational insight that supports effective decision-making across the hospital. This role is integral to ensuring departments are supported to manage budgets effectively while maintaining the highest standards of financial governance and reporting.

As a Management Accountant, you'll work closely with senior leaders and Heads of Department, providing financial analysis, reporting and guidance that helps drive operational performance. From overseeing monthly accounting activities and supporting departmental financial reviews to contributing to annual budgets and business cases, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of financial responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys partnering with stakeholders, influencing decision-making and contributing to the success of a dynamic healthcare environment.

What you'll do:

  • Take ownership of monthly accounting activities, including preparing and posting accruals and prepayments.
  • Review monthly financial results, investigate variances and ensure accurate reporting of financial performance.
  • Support the preparation of monthly operating results, weekly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Partner with Heads of Department by preparing and presenting financial information for departmental reviews and budget meetings.
  • Assist with audits, reconciliations, business cases and other ad hoc financial projects.

What you'll bring:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • Previous experience within a management accounting, commercial finance or audit environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and financial analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
