Management Accountant
Up to £50,000 plus great benefits (Work Level 6A)
9-month fixed term contract / secondment

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join us and help us enable commercial decision-making that drives the performance of our Food Retail business area. We’ll look to you to support the delivery of high-profile continuous improvement projects and provide valuable insights (based on financial data) to spot potential risks and opportunities.
What you’ll do
• Provide financial support to the relevant budget owners; helping to ensure the accuracy of performance results that directly impact decision-making
• Provide robust financial control over the monthly management accounts; making sure that deadlines are met and delivered to a high standard
• Utilise the appropriate balance sheet accounts to ensure risks are understood and managed effectively
What you’ll bring
We’re committed to making our roles as accessible as possible, so we only ask for the minimum criteria. To thrive here, you’ll need to bring:
• An accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or equivalent
• Experience preparing and/or reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and improving financial processes
• Familiarity with accountancy systems such as SAP/Cognos (desirable, not essential).
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
• Good communication and relationship-building skills
• Support delivery of key activities for the team including audit and transformation projects.
