of role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the Finance team at Sureserve Compliance Electrical.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the financial records across multiple group entities, supporting month-end reporting, balance sheet control, statutory compliance, and process improvement initiatives. You will contribute to the timely delivery of management reporting so that Operations can review performance well in advance of month-end close and support the upcoming Budget 2027 cycle and FY2026 audit.

This role is ideally suited to a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or an experienced accountant looking to develop their technical accounting knowledge, gain exposure to Business Central, and contribute to a growing and evolving finance function.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

  • First rate communication skills, able to develop and maintain relationships

  • Flexible and adaptable, with a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst paying attention to the detail

  • Previous experience in a Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Management Accountant or similar finance role. Should have a strong understanding of journals, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end accounting processes, VAT accounting.

  • Part qualified or qualified by experience

  • Knowledge of MS Business Central desirable but not essential

  • Essential: Ability to travel to office location with limited access to public transport
