Job Description

GVA Search are proud to be partnering with a prestigious FMCG organisation in London who is looking to recruit a newly created Management Accountant role.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Manager and responsible for driving strong business performance by providing insightful and collaborative commercial decision support, whilst ensuring that management information is accurate and reflects the performance of the business.

Financial Management & Process

  • Provide robust monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
  • Provide insight for brand planning based on analysis of internal and external data.
  • Provide commercial support and tracking for pipeline NPD projects and innovation.
  • Support the rolling forecast process, casting a critical eye over volume forecasts, challenging where appropriate and translating into future P&L.
  • Contribute to delivery of robust monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts through analysis and insightful support, ensuring that all variances are challenged and understood.
  • Review financial controls & process on a regular basis and recommend improvements.
  • Provide insightful sales and profitability analysis to the E-Commerce (Digital), Marketing and Food and Drink teams and wider business where applicable.
  • Model commercial scenarios and providing commercial support and review for Brand Planning, NPD, Innovation and wider business decision making.
  • Develop and roll out Business Objects reporting to support non-finance teams.
  • Develop profitability analysis and reporting for non-finance teams.
  • Support decisions/prioritisation of marketing spend.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with advanced reporting skills on MS Excel. You will need to be commercially aware, have good business acumen and exceptional communication skills. This is a pivotal role in the business and will require effective business partnering with multiple partners cross functionally. This successful applicant will challenge and influence business decisions, streamline efficiencies and ideally have E-commerce experience.
