As a Managed Services - Fund Accounting Director you will lead outsourced fund accounting work, shape client service delivery, and oversee key processes that support operating efficiency, data review, quality controls, and escalation handling within our Managed Services practice. As a Director you will set direction for client engagements, drive business growth, and guide teams through changing priorities while modeling integrity, inclusion, and a commercial mindset. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will use fund accounting knowledge, project leadership, and stakeholder communication to help deliver consistent service across multiple work streams and develop future leaders.

Responsibilities

• Delivery leadership: Own fund books (US GAAP/IFRS), monthly/quarterly close and NAVs, capital activity and allocations, investment accounting entries, reconciliations, fee/expense allocation, and carried interest/waterfall support.
• Stakeholder governance: Lead operational governance with US leadership, ensure timely decisioning, and manage risks/escalations through clear, structured communication.
• Control & quality: Embed robust operational controls, issue prevention, and audit-ready execution; drive root-cause fixes and sustained remediation.
• Org leadership at scale: Lead a 75–100 FTE multi-layer organization; build high-performing technical teams, strengthen leadership bench, and sustain a strong service culture in a competitive talent market.
• Operating model & transformation: Set and execute a clear multi-year agenda for standardization, automation, and delivery model evolution
• Strong track record building scalable, tool-enabled operations and converting ideas into measurable outcomes
• Recognized for high judgment, analytical problem solving, and proactive risk identification in fast-paced environments.
• Leadership style that builds followership, collaboration, and durable relationships; aligns delivery culture to PwC values and leaves a positive legacy.
• Maintain strong people practices: hiring, retention, succession planning, and culture of accountability and service excellence.

Experience & Qualifications

• 15+ years in alternatives fund finance operations (PE/Credit/RE) with end-to-end fund accounting expertise (NAV, partner capital, allocations, fees/carry/waterfalls).
• Experience in Investran & LemonEdge (Highly preferred)
• Proven leadership of large-scale operations with global stakeholder engagement and demanding close cycles.
• CA/CPA/CMA/MBA (preferred).
