What’s unique about this role?

The team leader will serve as a liaison between the team and a review manager during the lifecycle of the review project. The candidate will be responsible for providing daily support and assistance to the Review Managers. Responsible for implementing the review/QC workflows and reporting team review progress to the Review Managers. Is a subject matter expert and leads the team to build strong relationships and solves day-to-day subject matter related queries. Identify potential review risks while driving the release or deliveries under close supervision and guidance of the review managers.

What will this person do?

  • Perform first line review and QC/QA checks on projects. Play a key role in quality control and audit responsibilities on their projects.
  • QC huge volumes of complex litigation documents with the highest productivity and accuracy./Perform high level audit checks on the QC'd documents to validate the quality.
  • Review and finalize the Decision Logs and QC Logs before sending them to clients.
  • Identify and assess the impact of the application of review guidelines on documents.
  • Draft Decision Logs and QC Logs.
  • Be an advisor and subject matter expert in different projects, drafting queries including but not limited to client queries, resolving team queries.
  • While acting as a subject matter expert, must be able to provide rationale and calls on responsiveness/privilege as per the briefing guide.
  • Create batches on the platform for the review.
  • Serve as a liaison between the project team and the project managers during the life cycle of a project.
  • Lead project training, assist Managers with QC strategy and assist in creating, implementing, and improving project workflows and quality control techniques.
  • Manage changes in work scope and provide continuous guidance and regular feedback , training, and mentorship to the team members.
  • Assist Managers with reporting Ensure adherence to companies standard operating procedures on projects.
  • Focus on accuracy and first-time right approach to avoid any rework.
  • Involved in internal communication to improve the department level processes.
  • Ability to handle Relativity and other document review platforms.
  • Perform other special tasks or duties when required.

  • Two+ years of experience as a document review attorney with a review provider or law firm
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law
  • Bachelor’s degree in law.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in document review projects, QC processes, and team handling.
  • Deep knowledge of Document Review concepts.
  • Experience with Relativity is necessary, Rel certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under tight timelines.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize the task based on importance and deadline.
  • Team player and helps in creating a positive working environment.
  • Ability to provide real-time guidance during critical or high-volume periods.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support the team when unexpected situations arise.
  • Self-motivated, with strong sense of ownership and commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

The salary range for this position may be tailored to be lower or higher in different talent markets.

This role will be eligible to participate in an annual bonus or incentive program.
