Position Purpose:

Mammography Technologist PRN to work in the Radiology Department at St Mary’s Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

What you will do:

  • Perform ordered mammography examinations in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the radiologists.
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education.
  • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems and calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
  • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Enters patient’s questionnaire, release form, and all other paperwork into system.

What you will need:

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Advanced registry in mammography required. Continuing education credits in Mammography required.
  • Education Graduate of formal radiographic technology training in an AMA-approved school
  • Experience: Two years mammography experience preferred.
