Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, The Mammography Technologist is responsible for the delivery of patient centered care while operating mammographic and/or sonographic equipment and techniques with minimal supervision while exercising independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The Mammography Technologist is responsible for operating a mammography and/or ultrasound unit to produce high quality images of the breasts for screening and diagnostic purposes, while continuously remaining responsive to and responsible for each patient in their care. The Mammography Technologist is responsible for effective communication in a multidisciplinary/interdisciplinary environment while fostering a culture of safety in the workplace.
This position involves travel on the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Mobile Unit and in the Mammography Department at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Travel to other sites may be required.

$36.87 - $45.21 hourly
