Logan Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to join our Radiology team in Kalispell. This full-time position offers variable hours and provides an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact through the early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
X-ray Technologists with an interest in mammography are encouraged to apply—training will be provided.
Qualifications
Required
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Current ARRT certification
Valid Montana State Radiologic Technologist license
BLS certification
Current Driver’s License required as applicable to assigned area(s)
Must possess a good driving record clear of moving violations within the past five (5) years and no major driving offenses (DUI, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to prioritize and function both independently and as part of a team
Preferred / Required Within Hire Period
Mammography certification preferred or must be successfully obtained within six (6) months of hire
Minimum one (1) year experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred
Breast Sonography Qualifications (as applicable to role)
Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required
Minimum one (1) year experience preferred in one or more of the following specialty areas:
Quality control
Breast sonography
Stereotactic biopsies
Job Responsibilities
Properly identify and prepare patients for mammography exams, clearly explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
Obtain and accurately document relevant patient history and exam-related information
Perform mammography imaging and process images for radiologist interpretation
Complete all required documentation in accordance with departmental protocols
Ensure patients understand exam results and available options as communicated by the Radiologist
Perform daily start-up, end-of-day, and next-day preparation duties per department procedures
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, including stocking and inventory control
Assist with quality assurance activities and preparation for ACR and FDA accreditation
Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development related to mammography
