
In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments is responsible for performing a variety of X-ray procedures for diagnostic purposes.
In addition to the Radiologic Technologist position responsibilities and duties, team members acting in the capacity of a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) will be responsible for the following additional duties. The RSO role is an assignment and not a permanent, regular position. • Establishing and overseeing operating and safety procedures that maintain radiation exposures as low as reasonablyachievable (ALARA), and to review them regularly to ensure that the procedures are current and conform with Texas Administrative Code 289.226.
Graduation from an accredited American Medical Association School of Radiology.
Holds and maintains these certifications as a professional. Lapsing/expiration of these certifications/licensure will result in suspension of work:
