The University of Chicago Law School invites applications for the Malyi Fellowship in International and Comparative Legal Institutions, with an appointment at the rank of Lecturer, for a one-year term expected to begin between July and September 2026. A second term might be possible. The University of Chicago Law School conceives the field very broadly, and all plausible applicants are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will teach one one-quarter course during the academic year and is expected to publish original scholarship and contribute to the intellectual life of the Law School. Candidates must demonstrate the promise of distinguished legal scholarship and law teaching, have expertise and research interests related to international or comparative public law, and have the ability to develop and teach a graduate level course in that subject. A J.D., Ph.D., or another graduate degree or degrees that would similarly qualify the applicant to produce excellent original legal scholarship is required and must be in hand by the time the appointment begins. The successful candidate must perform the work in person and employment is contingent on the candidate’s ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate visa status throughout the appointment.
