Role Summary

The Boarding Agent will be responsible for delivering efficient ship agency services, coordinating vessel operations, shipping documentation and client requirements while ensuring compliance with company and Health & Safety standards.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Qormi, Malta (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality ship agency services, ensuring a professional and efficient service to clients.
  • Coordinate vessel arrivals and manage pre-arrival documentation with vessels, ports, terminals and relevant authorities.
  • Attend and board vessels as required to support port call operations.
  • Prepare and issue booking confirmations, loading lists and other required shipping documentation.
  • Create and process Bills of Lading, including issuing drafts to clients for review.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for completed shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Coordinate the preparation and delivery of documentation to clients.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience within ship agency or the wider shipping/maritime industry is preferred.
  • Good understanding of crew change processes and related requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Valid driving licence.
