Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation (WMHSAC) is a proud Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service providing holistic and culturally safe health care to Aboriginal communities across the Pilbara region. Our Registered Training Organisation (RTO), established in 2009, was the first Aboriginal RTO in the Pilbara. We are committed to building a strong Aboriginal health workforce through quality accredited training in health and community services.

About the Role

We are seeking a Male Trainer & Assessor, Primary Health Care to deliver engaging, structured, and compliant accredited training and assessment programs. You will support learners through their qualifications, deliver training aligned to WMHSAC session plans, and ensure all assessment and training activities meet AQTF, Standards for RTOs (2015), TAC requirements, and organisational policies. This role also supports enrolment, student engagement, compliance documentation, reporting, and continuous quality improvement within the RTO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredit training and assessment in Primary Health Care programs
  • Prepare and deliver learner and assessment resources aligned to training strategies
  • Support student enrolment, orientation, and learning pathways
  • Conduct fair, valid, and compliant assessment practices
  • Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and training documentation
  • Ensure compliance with AQTF, RTO Standards (2015), and WMHSAC policies
  • Contribute to validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities
  • Support culturally safe and engaging learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with RTO and clinical teams
  • Participate in meetings, reporting, and professional development activities

Essential Criteria

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) or willingness to obtain
  • Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice
  • Current AHPRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner
  • Experience delivering training and assessment in a VET/RTO environment
  • Strong knowledge of RTO compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and RTO systems
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current WA Working with Children Check

Desirable

  • Experience working in an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation
  • Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander learners in VET training
