Job Description

We are currently seeking a male Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to

a 42-year-old male participant living in Springfield Lakes This role involves supporting an

individual with complex mental health and behavioral needs in a structured

environment.

Behavioral Support Needs may include:

  • Physical aggression
  • Verbal aggression
  • Self-injurious behavior
  • Socially inappropriate behaviors

Minimum Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support or similar roles
  • Certificate III in Disability or relevant qualification
  • Current Yellow Card and Blue Card
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Australian Driver’s License and comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability support or similar roles

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex mental health
  • conditions, particularly intellectual disability and schizophrenia
  • Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviors in a calm and professional
  • manner
  • Clear and effective English communication skills

Other Requirements

  • Male support worker (participant preference)
  • Strong interpersonal and emotional regulation skills
  • Ability to follow behavior support plans and care routines
