We’re looking for a dedicated Male Disability Support Workers to join our incredible non-profit organization, Connecting Families, in Aspley and Griffin, QLD.

We are urgently seeking a compassionate and experienced Male Disability Support Worker with a strong background in Disability support. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with clients to build life skills, access community services, and help them achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet individual client needs.

• Provide assistance with daily living skills, community engagement, and education/employment support.

• Offer mental health support and guide clients toward greater self-sufficiency.

• Assist with social activities, transport, personal care, and other needs as required.

• Maintain accurate documentation and case notes to ensure quality service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: Certificate III/IV in Disability or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: Background in disability support, with experience in dementia, Alzheimer’s, aged care, incontinence, and personal hygiene care.

• Skills: Ability to operate a 4-wheel walker and occasionally a wheelchair to assist clients.

• Flexibility: Availability to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, and sleepovers.

• Additional Requirements:

○ Working With Children Check/Blue Card

○ NDIS Worker Screening Check/ Yellow Card

○ National Police Check (via Rapid Screening)

○ QLD Drivers License (No international licenses)

○ Comprehensive Car Insurance & Registration

○ First Aid and CPR Certification

○ Passport or evidence of work rights in Australia (if applicable)

○ Education qualification certificate
