We’re looking for male Disability Support Workers in Pennant Hills, NSW who can start right away. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact while working with people who value your care, skills, and dedication.
About the role
You’ll be working with a young male client who needs extra support in daily life. He has a range of medical and behavioural challenges, so we’re looking for someone who can stay calm, patient, and supportive, even in tough situations.
Some of his diagnoses include:
Cerebral Palsy
Severe Intellectual Disability
Dandy Walker Syndrome
Asthma
Epilepsy
Bilateral Optic Nerve Hypoplasia
Behaviourally, he can sometimes get frustrated, which may lead to property damage. We’ll provide training and ongoing support to help you manage these situations confidently.
We’re looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting people with complex needs (autism, intellectual disability, epilepsy, etc.)
Can stay calm and in control under pressure
Knows how to de-escalate challenging behaviour
Can mentor and be a positive role model for young people
Communicates clearly and respectfully
Is physically fit and emotionally resilient
Ideally is a strong male worker aged 20–30, to be a role model for the client
What you’ll need:
Certificate III (or higher) in Disability, Community Services, or similar
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Employee Working with Children Check
Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Willingness to obtain a National Police Check
Experience working with complex, high-needs clients
