Clean Team Member (Evening)

Doncaster Gym | Cleaning | Permanent | Part time

Up to £ 26,707.20 pro rata per annum
18 Hour Contract

As part of the Nuffield Clean Team at our gym, we’ll expect you to organise your work and plan your time with assistance from a Team Leader to ensure that cleaning never gets in the way of a customer’s experience. You will use the latest cleaning equipment, products and this will be supported by a first-class training programme. You have a friendly nature and good communication skills, which will come in handy when you’re interacting with colleagues and customers.

Working Hours (18 Hours per Week)

• Regular weekday evening shifts 8:00pm – 11:00pm

• One weekday shift per week 5:00pm – 11:00pm

• Flexibility required to provide additional cover for:

  • Day shifts

  • Evening shifts

  • Weekends (cover only, not part of your regular rota)
    (to support annual leave and operational needs)

Key Responsibilities

Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas, including:

• Gym floor and equipment

• Changing rooms and toilets

• Poolside and wet areas

• Studios, reception, and communal spaces

• Follow all health & safety, COSHH, and infection control procedures

• Safely use and store cleaning chemicals and equipment

• Carry out routine checks and report:

• Maintenance issues

• Health & safety concerns

• Support periodic deep cleaning tasks

• Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure excellent member experience

Essential Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work set evening hours

• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards

• Ability to work both independently and within a team

• Flexible to cover additional shifts when required

• Good communication skills

• Willingness and ability to complete and pass a First Aid course (provided by the company)

Desirable

• Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience

• Experience in a gym, leisure, or healthcare environment

• Understanding of COSHH and safe cleaning practices
