Job Description

We're looking for passionate and adaptable Malay & English Linguist to join our team. Ideal candidates should have a strong experience in understanding of Malay & English Linguist.

Role and Responsibilities

• As a Linguist, you will be working on different tasks such as create sentences for Malay & English, sentence translation from and to English, developing syntactic rules, adding inflections, analyzing word groups, adapting from formal into informal language and translating specific terms.
• Idiomatic fluency in Malay & English.
• Extensive knowledge of the language use (both formal and informal, colloquial language).
• Undergraduate linguistics degree with good knowledge of the morphology, grammar, syntax and colloquialisms of Malay & English.
• Managing an end-to-end recording process with an appropriate approach toward the talents to ensure that each project results in clean and high-quality audio.
• Create sentences
• Data collection: voice and text (Malay & English)
• Record your own voice using an Android cellphone (your own cellphone), using the text provided, consisting of +/- 120 sentences, and then edit it.

Skills and Qualifications

• Min Bachelor degree in Malay & English linguistics or any related Master degrees from reputable universities will be point plus
• At least 1 years of experience on Malay & English Linguistics.
• Fluent in Malay and English (spoken and written).
• TOEFL 520 minimum or equivalent
• Experienced in recording and editing
• Ability to communicate effectively and build partnerships with voice over and other engineers/teams
• Able to work under pressure with minimum supervision
• Able to manage multiple, competing tasks and be self-directed in a quickly evolving environment
• Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback
• WFO Full (On-site)
• This position will be hired under a third-party contract (12 months).
