As a Makeup Operator, you will play an essential role in the production of high-quality hand-held dental instruments. Working as part of the production team, you will use different machinery to bend, shape, flatten and sharpen metal tips to exact design specifications, contributing directly to the overall assembly and product quality. You will collaborate with other production team members throughout the manufacturing process to ensure consistent and accurate output.

Young Innovations provides comprehensive training, along with all required safety equipment and personal protective gear (PPE), to ensure your success in the role.

This position involves performing repetitive, detail-oriented tasks each day and requires strong focus, efficiency, and a commitment to accuracy.

Who you’ll work with:

  • Production Leads and Supervisors across various departments in production

What You’ll Do:

  • Production & Technical Operations
    • Bend, shape, flatten, and sharpen metal tips to required size and specifications using grinders and power tools
    • Inspect work visually and with measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality standards
    • Work at different workstations as production needs require
    • Consistently meet or exceed production and efficiency goals while maintaining quality
  • Quality, Compliance & Documentation
    • Learn and follow quality processes and procedures
    • Become familiar with ISO, FDA, and other applicable regulatory standards
    • Accurately record production and inspection data
    • Identify defects or rejects and follow proper escalation procedures
  • Safety, Teamwork & Professional Conduct
    • Follow all written and verbal instructions and company guidelines
    • Communicate and collaborate with team members to meet production quotas and goals
    • Observe safety procedures and report concerns to management
    • Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment
    • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and perform other duties as assigned



Qualifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D); one to three months’ related experience and/or training is an added bonus.

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target for the position at the time of posting. Within the range, the compensation will be determined based on education/training, skill set, experience, and other organizational needs.

Physical Requirements/Working Locations

Manufacturing/Distribution Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The role routinely involves working around machinery, equipment, and moving mechanical parts. The facility may be subject to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and airborne particles such as dust or chemical fumes, depending on the area of the plant. This role may require periods of standing, sitting, or walking throughout the workday. Occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk. Hearing abilities required for this environment include being able to clearly hear and respond to audible alarms, production equipment, forklifts, and other machinery to maintain a safe work environment. Individuals must be able to distinguish and understand verbal communication including instructions, safety warnings, and team discussions, sometimes in an environment with moderate to high background noise.
