Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce dental hand instrument points by performing the following duties and responsibilities.
Essential Duties
Condition of employment requires knowledge and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as applicable to the position
Be proactive with own safety and report any potential safety issues to supervisor
Record product production and order details on specified forms, batch records and logs.
Bend, shape and flatten metal tips to size and specifications.
Perform in process inspections and verify product meets established criteria
Use measuring tool to confirm accuracy per specifications.
Learn quality processes and procedures.
Remove and report any incomplete or defective products for quality review as necessary
Consistently meet or exceed production goals and efficiency while maintaining quality standards
Report any low component or material stocking levels
Follow all written and verbal instructions/guidelines
Perform general equipment maintenance and keep work area clean and organized,
Learn instruments and related product lines,
Become familiar with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards.
May work at different workstations as production needs require,
Complete other duties as assigned
Minimum
Qualifications:
Manufacturing – Understanding of manufacturing processes and systems.
Hand dexterity – Must have good hand dexterity.
Eyesight – Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus for detailed work and inspection.
Language Ability:
Able to speak and read English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as prints, drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
