In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to support a collaborative team environment while consistently delivering outstanding customer service. Our Make Ready Technicians play a vital role in preparing apartment homes and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the community, directly contributing to resident satisfaction and retention.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform light maintenance duties including trashing vacant apartments, removing carpet, and preparing units for new residents.
- Assist with landscaping responsibilities such as weeding, watering, planting flowers, and maintaining curb appeal.
- Routinely inspect and maintain buildings and grounds to ensure the community meets company standards and complies with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the Maintenance team with make-ready tasks related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliances, keys, and locks.
- Assist with snow removal when needed.
- Deliver exceptional customer service in alignment with GCI’s customer service standards to enhance resident satisfaction and retention.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- General maintenance experience with working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems preferred.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with residents and team members.
- Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call schedules as needed.
Education, Licenses & Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
