We are looking for an established industry leader to take a pivotal executive role in our Water business, leading governance, growth, and delivery of our major projects portfolio across Australia. This is a career‑defining opportunity for a senior professional who combines commercial acumen, technical credibility and people leadership at scale.

The opportunity

As Major Projects Executive, you will play a critical role in setting direction and driving outcomes across multiple, concurrent major projects - working collaboratively across WSP’s national Water, Power & Energy platform.

You will be entrusted with:

• Strategic leadership of major project delivery, including governance, risk management and commercial performance
• Building and sustaining trusted client relationships at the executive level, from pursuit through to delivery
• Developing future capability, mentoring senior project leaders and shaping high‑performing, engaged teams
• Influencing business strategy, contributing to national targets, growth initiatives and continuous improvement programs
• Leading with integrity, embedding safety, quality, risk and ethical standards in everything you do

This role has a national scope and can be performed in any of WSP's East Coast office locations, offering flexibility and the opportunity to influence outcomes across Australia.

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for a leader with a strong industry reputation and a proven record of delivering complex outcomes. Your career will likely have demonstrated:

• Extensive industry experience, including senior leadership roles within a consulting environment
• Demonstrated success in leading and governing major infrastructure projects of significant scale and complexity
• Strong commercial and contractual capability, including risk management, margin delivery and cashflow outcomes
• A track record of winning work, shaping pursuits and strengthening client partnerships
• Experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams, including mentoring senior project managers and technical leaders
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional accreditation/chartership

Most importantly, you’ll lead with empathy, resilience and clarity - balancing innovation and technical excellence with disciplined delivery.
