San Francisco AIDS Foundation (SFAF) envisions a future where health justice is achieved for all people living with or at risk for HIV. Our mission is to promote health, wellness, and social justice for communities most impacted by HIV through sexual health and substance use services, advocacy, and partnership. What is the position?
The Major Gifts Officer is a key member of the Philanthropy team and will have primary responsibility for developing, establishing, and maintaining the Major Gifts Program at SFAF. This position managers the Foundation Giving Circle, SFAF’s major giving circle of donors $2,500 and above. They are responsible for overseeing prospect management, major gift cultivation events, and strengthening our Planned Giving Program as well. Managing a portfolio or 150 donors they will work with the Individual Giving team to craft strategies, set annual and multi-year goals, and craft personalized giving strategies.

Where is the position located?
This position is primarily located at 940 Howard, San Francisco, however it may occasionally require traveling to other office locations or off-site meetings as required by the job. This position requires 2-3 days a week in person. This position also requires participation in agency events as staff, including Cycle to Zero, a 3-day traveling event that invovles camping outdoors. The position may require irregular and extended hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends.
What we offer?
Salary:$95,000- $106,000
Benefits :SFAF is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for our full-time employees. We offer combined PTO/Sick Time Off of 24 days for the first two years of employment, 29 days after two years of employment. For retirement we offer a 403(b) Plan and SFAF matches employee contributes (1 to 1) up to 3% of Salary.
