The Major Gifts Officer plays a critical role in advancing our school's mission by building and managing relationships with high-capacity donors. This position is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors to secure significant philanthropic support for the school's strategic priorities and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of approximately 100-125 major gift prospects and donors in Pittsburgh and other assigned cities and regions
• Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with prospects and donors
• Secure major gifts (typically $25,000+) to support the school's capital campaigns, endowment, and annual fund priorities
• Participate in occasional evening and weekend activities, including Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, receptions, and special events

Qualifications and Experience

• Four-year degree required
• A record of establishing and sustaining strong relationships with individual donors or professional partners
• Experience in schools is preferred but not required
