We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout our plant facilities. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, floor care, restroom and common-area maintenance, waste removal, and other facility-related tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can work independently with minimal supervision, and understands the importance of maintaining a safe and professional workplace.

Maintenance Custodian

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout our plant facilities. This position is responsible for routine cleaning, floor care, restroom and common-area maintenance, waste removal, and other facility-related tasks. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, can work independently with minimal supervision, and understands the importance of maintaining a safe and professional workplace.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of all plant facilities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean assigned areas.
• Strip and wax floors as needed.
• Clean and maintain bathrooms, showers, break rooms, kitchen areas, and other common areas.
• Empty trash and maintain appropriate waste disposal practices.
• Monitor and support the facility's recycling program.
• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly handle cleaning chemicals.
• Identify and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to the Facility Engineer.
• Complete special cleaning and facility projects as assigned.
• Maintain a professional and cooperative working relationship with employees throughout the facility.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support the needs of the company.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of experience cleaning commercial facilities, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with people at all levels of the organization.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, including 8–10 hours or more.
• Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
• Ability to perform physical cleaning activities throughout the workday.
