GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The Maintenance Associate/Mail Courier is responsible for performing light construction, general maintenance, and custodial duties to ensure that all facilities are safe, clean, and well-maintained. In addition, this position supports courier functions, ensuring the secure and timely delivery of letters, packages, and documents between all OIP locations. This role requires excellent time management skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

Regular travel between OIP locations is required, and candidates must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintenance

  • Perform routine building maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC support.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • Assist with office setups, furniture moves, and general facility organization.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance work.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and report issues promptly to the manager.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Courier

  • Pick up and deliver mail, packages, supplies, and equipment between locations as scheduled.
  • Ensure all deliveries are handled securely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Maintain delivery records and ensure confidentiality of materials transported.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
  • Operate company vehicle safely and in accordance with company policies and traffic laws.

EDUCATION

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

EXPERIENCE

· 3+ years of general maintenance experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE

· Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.

· Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as needed.
