Job Duties:

This position is located at CA Dillon JDC located in Butner, NC

This position performs routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of systems within a juvenile facility and its support buildings. It requires journeyman-level skill in at least one trade—such as carpentry, cabinet making, roofing, or painting—and working knowledge of others. Duties include general maintenance, limited grounds care, and supervision of semi-skilled or unskilled workers to complete tasks and support other maintenance staff as needed.
-Perform routine preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings, grounds, equipment, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
-Conduct regular inspections and complete assigned work orders with minimal supervision, addressing maintenance issues in a timely and thorough manner.
-Assist in maintaining grounds and operating groundskeeping equipment, ensuring exterior areas of the facility are well-kept and functional.
-Collaborate with the supervisor to discuss non-routine or complex maintenance tasks and ensure proper resolution of maintenance challenges.
-Participate in cross-training opportunities within the Facility Maintenance
-Group to support a flexible and knowledgeable maintenance team.
-Assist with a variety of general maintenance-related duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the overall upkeep and functionality of the facility.

Must have a Valid Driver's license upon hire.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $34,270-$59,973

Grade: NC06

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position. 8:00am-5:00pm. This position is considered essential and is expected to be at work despite weather conditions and is subject to on-call status.
