Job Description

Position Title: Maintenance Worker II Position Code: MaintWork-8250

Department: Plant Operations Safety Sensitive: Yes No

Reports to: Plant Operations Supervisor Exempt Status: Yes No

Position Purpose:

All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.

Maintains buildings and equipment. Performs minor plumbing repairs. Performs building and grounds maintenance and security duties when required. Serves on the fire brigade team. Performs minor electrical, refrigeration and H.V.A.C. repairs. Performs other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent - will be required to provide a diploma or official transcripts upon hire

Required Licensure: Valid US Driver’s License (Must be 21 years of age or older)

Required Experience: Five years maintenance experience or the equivalent education

Work Requirements

  • Must be able to squeeze with hands 75psi.
  • 90% 100% of the time incumbent is standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and reaching, in the daily functions of duties.
  • Must be able to climb ladder several times per day.
  • Must be able to lift 50 to 70 pounds.
  • Must have good sense of smell to distinguish potentially hazardous materials.
