Hilton Resorts Corporation is seeking an entry-level Maintenance Technician I to join our team at the Maintenance Eilan Hotel & Spa in San Antonio, TX. This role is perfect for a passionate individual who wants to learn and grow in the maintenance field while delivering exceptional guest experience

As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be an integral part of our maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, from responding to guest requests and performing basic repairs to assisting with larger maintenance projects.   • Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and maintenance issues, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work, following safety protocols.
  • Assist senior technicians and engineers in larger maintenance projects, learning and gaining hands-on experience.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with hotel standards and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, colleagues, and supervisors, providing updates and resolving any concerns.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and stay updated with industry best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as Housekeeping and Front Office, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, representing the Hilton brand with pride and enthusiasm.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or hospitality role is an asset but not essential for entry-level candidates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-centric approach.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hotel's operational needs.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance management software is an advantage.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required for certain tasks.
