
The essential duties are to perform routine and preventive maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Must have the ability to work with cleaning machines & tools.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos .May be required to compose simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. May be required to solve mathematical computations and create miscellaneous drawings and schematics.
REASONING ABILITY: Must have ability to apply common understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Valid Louisiana Driver's
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; or crawl; and talk; or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
