Job Description

Sitemax | Gympie QLD | Full-Time

About Sitemax

Sitemax is Australia's go-to supplier of containment mesh and signage for construction and development sites — the products you see wrapping scaffolding and fencing on projects across the country. We're a hands-on, tight-knit team that takes pride in doing things properly, moving fast, and looking after each other.

We're growing, and we need a reliable, capable operator to join us on the floor.

About the Role

No two days are the same. This role includes general maintenance, assisting dispatch, production and with on-site installs when required.

This is a physically demanding, varied role suited to someone who takes ownership of their work and genuinely enjoys using their hands.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Performing routine equipment inspections, basic repairs, and planned preventative maintenance
  • Keeping the warehouse and storage areas safe, clean, and compliant
  • Picking, packing, and dispatching orders accurately and efficiently
  • Conducting pick-ups and deliveries to customer sites
  • Assisting with on-site installation, measuring, and maintenance of signage products
  • Identifying and reporting health and safety concerns promptly
  • Operating a forklift (or willing to obtain your licence with our support)

What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Current driver's licence
  • Welding experience (you'll be using it regularly)
  • Physical fitness and comfort with manual handling throughout the day
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset and solid hand and power tool skills
  • Reliability — the team depends on you showing up and following through

Highly regarded:

  • Experience in maintenance, warehousing, manufacturing, construction, or a similar hands-on environment
  • Forklift licence (we'll support you to get one if you don't have it)
  • White Card
  • Electrical qualifications or machinery servicing/assembly background
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail

Why Sitemax?

  • Variety — a genuine mix of workshop, warehouse, and on-site work keeps things interesting
  • Stability — full-time hours with a team that values long-term people over constant turnover
  • Growth — as we expand, so do the opportunities to take on more responsibility
  • Support — we'll back you to upskill, including forklift certification if needed

About SITEMAX

At Sitemax, we help builders, developers, and maintenance teams transform how their worksites are experienced — improving the look, feel, and function of every project.

Because first impressions start long before completion, we believe construction sites should tell the same story of quality, care, and capability as the finished build. A well-presented site inspires confidence, strengthens reputation, and shows pride in every stage of delivery.

That’s why we partner with Australia’s leading construction and property companies to safeguard people, timelines, and brands — delivering containment and signage solutions that meet safety standards while elevating site presentation and professionalism.

Since launching Scafclad™ in 2003, Sitemax has helped project teams nationwide reduce risk, enhance compliance, and improve the way their worksites represent the brands behind them.

Be Safe. Be Seen. Be Certain.
