Position Title:Maintenance Technician/Operator
Location:Gleason, TN
Reports to:MaintenanceEngineering Manager
Duties will include performing quality assessments, maintaining inventory, and conducting preventative maintenance procedures. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical hardware, read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics to isolate problems and improve plant processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and repair and electrical and electro-mechanical circuits, safely, in a timely manner, and with no supervision.
Maintain electrical and electro-mechanical circuitry involved in the plant processes.
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics to isolate problems and improve productivity.
Proficient use of test equipment.
Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
Conduct preventive maintenance procedures.
Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
Ability to work any shift/Overtime.
Help with ensuring proper inventory levels.
Skills Requirement:
Possess thorough working knowledge of all electrical and mechanical systems involved in the plant processes including, but not limited to, power distribution, process control and logic and demonstrate the ability to develop process control.
Knowledge of MSHA requirements.
Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s specifications and instructions and explain to others.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma
Maintenance work experience/Trade School.
Welding/Fabrication or Electrical Experience preferred.
Required Activities: Standing, walking up and down stairs and climbing ladders to product storage bins. Capable of lifting a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
Other: Ability to work in an environment emphasizing teamwork. Analyze data, condition and take corrective action per procedures and work instructions. Demonstrated problem solving ability. Must be able to follow procedures and work instructions for the job and abide by safety rules.
